Are you flying the flag today?

My wife and I take a walk every night. We walk through a Military Honor Park by our airport, then through a cemetery. Since today was Memorial Day we, of course, noticed all of the flags on the graves of the veterans. Unfortunately, we had some bad storms and heavy rain this afternoon, so many of them were knocked over or leaning badly. So, we took a few minutes and straightened up any that we saw that were not vertical. Made me feel a bit better and think of my dad, a WWII vet. Thanks to all who have served this country and to their families, too.

Been doing it for as long as I can remember.

My father was a WWII vet (Germany 1944-1946). He used to raise the flag every morning and lower it every evening.

I leave ours up all the time, have a light that comes on at dusk and goes off at dawn.
