I have never had to replace a Kubota belt even with over 1,000 hours on several machines. You have to take it easy on a single belt, but the double belts take all the abuse a 25 hp diesel has to offer. Kubota also uses larger than average pulleys which gives the belt more surfaced area to grip.

I agree, was just pointing out a possible source for aftermarket belts. We have a BX2660 and a B7500 both with high hundreds of hours and both are on the original belts.

My BIL cut a JD filter apart and a different name brand and there was a huge difference in pleats and make-up. That was 20 years ago and maybe things evened out a bit by now. I would think there would be a direct replacement but which one and who do you trust to tell you and what is at stake, maybe an engine or a transmission.

Some years ago I lived in an area where there was a large filter manufacturing plant. They made a variety of name brand and store brand oil filters. A lot of people assumed that because they all came from the same factory, they were identical. People who worked there told me each run was built to the purchaser spec with different case thickness, filter material, filter quantity, relief valve type etc.
