after two years and 150 hours of mowing one acre yard of flat ground, my cvt transmission is leaking lubricant on my inside rear wheels. they say it will have to be split to fix it at around 250.00. one mechanic told me best to run it until it quits and then put in a new one around 400 dollars. very fw people work on these cvt transmission and very little support from general. called office in brownsfield tx and they only spoke spanish, so they just hung up on me. not very satisfied with home depot or general transmission. according to my manual i am supposed to have a tufftorq transaxle. exactly one month and one week out of warranty. when buying my next mower, i will check closely on the transmission in it. these box stores will fix the mower but have nothing to do with the transmissions in them. the ariens support was no better than home depot or general transmissions
