HI can anyone give me the Correct measurments for 3 point lifting arms for a Kubota L185. I cant find any suitably priced ones here in South Africa. Their prices are sky high-, more than I paid for the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. I would like to have some made. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please get out those measuring tapes.

Thanks

Do you have SPAREX replacement parts down there? SPAREX is world wide, and is based out of England. In the US they are doing some CUT parts and 3-point arms are available from them at reasonable prices, and made to specs.

Ill have a look for Sparex -

Anything that is imported from the UK or US will be 10 to 15 ( Exchange rate) times more expensive not to mention the import duties. I have investigated trying to bring them in from Japan but even our Kubota dealers don't import them. Our dealer put me in contact with an engineering firm who makes them in Johannesburg. He charges just about the same as a imported pair. I have all the resources to make them up right on my doorstep. Its frustrating - if I could find another L185 locally I would measure them up my self. they are very few and far between. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

What specific measurements do you need? I have a Kubota L185 that I can measure from.

Sipho, welcome to the board. It's exciting to see just how far our little community extends. TBN has over 7,000 registrered members but I can't say I remember any from South Africa. Maybe, you are the first. Welcome /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Brackman

You would be an absolute lifesaver if you could measure up the 3 point lower lift arm, the size of the two sphirical bearings on the arm, and the length of the 3 point hitch crank vertical arm and the 3 point hitch solid vertical arm.

Here is a link to a site which best describes what im looking for. http://www.ssbtractor.com/page36.html , I know its from a rival site !!! but hey its all for the common good. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanx

Siphoxolo.

Thanks for the welcome. Where ever I go I tell all of the valuble info on tractorbynet. There is no other place like it. I have sorted through many of my teething problems on my old L185 by just reading through all the old posts. Its wonderfull to be a member.

Cheers /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
