I recently aquired a 1959 Ford 641 with an ARPS 875 backhoe attachment. haven't had any luck locating information on this backhoe. Any information would be highly appreciated.

I think Arps and Blackhawk are the same and were made in Yakima Washington if my memory is on track. I have one, my manual says Blackhawk on it. I got this BH in the 1970's and for my smallish Japanese tractor and being a tough unit taking lots of abuse by me. This all I can tell you other than if needing parts you may have to make them as the company is long gone I believe.

No I do not but seems I once found some info on the Net showing a schematic of mine. Back hoes of this nature are pretty simple and if changing hydro fluid and greasing all the points having zerk fittings plus keeping things clean you will be doing a great service to it. Cylinders, hoses and such are pretty standard, nothing odd that I know of so replacement or rebuild is a straightforward endeavor. The control valve body on mine still works as it should and I'd hate to take it apart if needing repair. At the present, I have mostly retired both this tractor and hoe attachment having both a new Kubota tractor and Kubota excavator.
What are you having issues with if any?

Most of the issues are probably with the operator (me)....lol
Actually there doesn't seem to be much fine control. I have a feeling that the controls are very worn and I知 afraid I may need to take on a rebuild over the winter. Would be great to have a service, or at least an owners manual.
Also have a couple minor hydraulic leaks, but as you mentioned, hose replacements appear pretty standard.

the manual I got is useless really, shows where to put the grease gun, not much else. There may be some fellas around my area who know more so I will ask around. Trouble is most of the old timers are gone here and everything is JD or Kubota. Meanwhile, try this website. www.ameriquip.com
