yap i agree with gsxr1100.. about ps info..and thedieselstops.com webmaster..
In years past say 10-20 yrs? people use to put atf in the fuel system as it was believed and some say mfg agreed that as in a auto it keeps carbon and sludge from collecting in the converter and passages it would also do the same think in the pump.. back when lower sulfur fuel was introduced alot of people used it. I know a ton of people who have old 80's vw that use that..
I've actualy run alot of stuff in my vw's just to get rid of oil like used oil.. atf ..etc.. but i wouldn't unless you get the cars for $250 like i have done years ago when i was "testing"..
I do know Cummins use to allow used oil to be blended in fuel oil and used up to a certian % not to exceed epa and had a machine and all sorts of guidelines you had to follow about 10yrs ago.
I think it's old folk lore more than modern use.. I'd keep the atf for the tranny not the engine as carbon will form from the ash in the fluid and the red dye if caught will result in untold $$ fortunes..
