I spent about an hour an a half this afternoon trying to attach my backhoe to my ck30. I finally got it attach with the help of my wife..I know am doing something wrong , but am going by the way the book say's to do it, level ground. So if there is someone out there that has any ideas please let me know because this is not the first time this has happen to me.

You did not provide any details of how you attempted to attach the backhoe. I will base my response on troubles I had the first few times I tried to attach mine:

1) back the tractor over the subframe until the front of the subframe is just a few inches from the subframe attachment hooks on the middle of the tractor,

2) hook up the hydraulics

3) remove retainer pins and very slowly use the backhoe controls to lower or raise the bucket so that the front of the subframe is raised up to the level of the hooks/attachment point on the middle of the tractor (don't worry about the rear attachment points).

4) when the subframe is in position, gently back the tractor into the subframe (again I am talking about the middle of the tractor attachment points).

5)after #4 is done, you can now go back to the backhoe controls and use the dipper arm (pressing down on the ground) to raise the rear of the subframe. At this point it should be pretty easy to drop the retainer pins in place. (caveat: the subframe, as I recall, captures the lip of the attachment point in the rear of the tractor, make sure it is not below the attachment point.)

I haven't put mine on in a couple of months so some of this may be a bit confusing. Sorry about that. The main points are to line things up then do the attachment in stages using the hydraulics to actively manipulate the height of the subframe.

And, it gets easier with practice.:)

Yea, you got me corn fused and mine is on the tractor right now. I went out to look mine over, and it appears to me that the rear must engage into the attachment points the same time the middle point engages. Now, I must admit that I have yet to even try to disconnect mine. It just seems that it will hit the bottom of the rear attachment area if not brought up to the same level before backing into position. Am I missing something?

I think you are correct, the rear portion does engage the same time as the front. Sorry for the confusion, as I said, it has been a couple months since I did it last and my tractor is 80 miles from here. The main point I was trying to get across was that you can use the backhoe hydraulics to line up the subframe at the correct height and that it is a three stage process: line up over the subframe, use hydraulics to raise subframe, then drive into the connectors.

I have a CK30hst and KB2375. Mine isn't on level ground and this still works for me. As Island mentioned, Back over the BH frame and try to keep it as centered as you can under the tractor. Go back to about an inch or so from where the mounts would engage each other. Connect your hoses. Lower each stabilyzer until they just touch the ground and then do the same for the bucket using the dipper stick control. I then lower each stabilyzer a little to lift up the frame about halfway to the rear mount and then level it side to side with the mount. To much and the front of the frame will hit the bottom of the tractor. I use the dipper control to lower the boom and this will push the front of the frame down. Back to the stab. controls to align the back mount and then use the dipper to align the front mounts. My front mounts will engage about 1/2 inch before the rear does, so I back up slightly and let them engage about 1/2 inch. Back to the stab. controls to ensure the rear is aligned and back up fully. Drop you pins in and you should be ready to go.

It shouldn't take you more than ten minutes once you get the hang of it. Don't forget to pull out the rear pin for the draw bar when you put the BH on and replace it after the frame is in the mount. I learned this the hard way and kept pushing the BH around until I figured out the pin drops through the mount enough to keep the BH frame from being fully seated. I hope this helps.

The slickest answer to this problem is a 'dolly' that supports both stabilizers and the bucket. Then you just wheel the 'hoe' into the tractor, adjust for hight with the hydraulics and away you go! It would work for mounting and dis-mounting.

I used to fight my backhoe going on big time. I hated putting it off and on, hated it to the point that I would let backhoe jobs build up, put in on for a couple of weekends, then take it off for several months. Then I built a custom dolly. OMG, you can't imagine how much easier it is. What used to take 30-45 minutes of swearing, re-positioning the tractor, swearing, trying to force it around, swearing, getting it part way on, swearing, you get the idea. I now get it on in 5 minutes or so and it is super easy, never even a frown, no bad words. Build a dolly on casters, it will change your outlook on your backhoe.

I can get you one tomorrow. My backhoe is on the tractor right now, so it should be no problem.

It's not very complicated, but it sure works well, and it's built rugged. Basically, I just slide it under the backhoe and set one end under the frame, and the other under the bucket. I then use the dipper hydraulics to take the weight off and it's free. I use the red tie-down in one of the photos to run between the stabalizers to make sure they don't leak down. The real beauty is in putting it on. With all the weight on rollers, you can push it to exactly the spot it is needed. Believe it or not, it can be pushed with one hand. Here are the photos.
