There has been discussion regarding the non-compatibility of attachments with the JD I-Match system. Well, now I'm involved !! I purchased a Kodiak 6' Landscape Rake & my I-Match will not fit. The attached pic shows that the hitch pins are not wide enough (cannot get lynch pins in holes) and the I-Match Top Hook is not compatible (pic in next post). My question is, am I going to have to cut this rake apart & modify from there or has anyone made unique modifications to their attachments to get the I-Match to fit properly. Your ideas......
Thanks, Eric

If the threaded part of the pins are long enough, you could put washers or a short piece of tubing in between the lip on the pin and the A frame. If the threads are not long enough, you can buy pins with the threaded portion longer.

I was wondering if washers would be Ok or whether I should weld a flat bar spacer in place & drill a hole. The rake is not as heavy as a rear blade of course but still didn't know if washers would weaken the pins ??

You need the Cat I to Cat III bushings added to the attachment on the lower Cat I pins. That will likely then match the lower pick-up hooks.

You will need to cut out the area for the top hook to pick up on the top pin, which comes in the bushing kit that Deere supplies.

I tried a search to find a very good picture that has been posted of the Deere kit, but don't seem to find it at the moment.

You don't have much modification to do, it appears to me.

I will look back at some pics to see if I can give you some better information. Here is the kit from Deere

That could very well be, that some beefing up would be necessary. Attached is a pic of my ballast box showing the lower bushings in place.

Beenthere & KD....
Many thanks, that's what I love about this site, no problems, just "solutions".
Would you happen to have a part number for the kit ??

Another question that might be answered when I order a kit but I'll ask you regardless, the bushings that I have pointed arrows to in my attached pic, what's the scoop ? The thicker bushings, I have been using on the lower pins, now that I see the kit, am I suppose to use them for the hook ?? A side note, should this kit have come with my I-Match or is it optional ?? Thanks, Eric

Speeco makes the bushing kit that I have. I bought at a semi local Fleet Farm store.

I initially thought that was a blade and not a rake. Had this been a blade, I think that you'd bend the pins forward...
