This little Blue Bird did not like his reflection, and kept pounding the window to claim his territory. He was persistent, but eventually I shewed him off for his own good

How funny. Usually bluebirds are among the smarter birds in my yard. We have gotten a nesting pair every year since we put up a house in 2001. They did dive bomb me once when I was gardening at the exact moment one of the babies was learning to fly, and boy that was intense. They were perching on the roof peak, about 35 feet up, and gunning right at me.

Had a bluebird yesterday that came into a window so hard it almost sounded like a rock or something. The bird was stunned to 15 minutes or so. I lifted it up to a safe place - we have a cat - for recovery. after about 15 minutes it just flew off. Hope it learned something.
Also this year had a swallow built a nest under the seat in my JD CUT. I use it every few days, so he must have built even though the tractor moved. It's parked in a shed. I finally noticed it when I lifted the seat. Moved the compact little nest - now with 5 eggs - to the shelf beside my tractor and the bird seems happy. Although she is a little panicked when I pull the tractor in and out.
Strange year for birds.
