I recently acquired a Cycle Country 60" ATV snowplow really cheap, so I decided to adapt it to my MF GC2300.
I started with a Class III receiver from TSC and adapted it to clamp on the front crossmember and weight hanger. Then made a mount to fit. The lift and angle cylinders are folding chute cylinders from an Oshkosh concrete mixer.

Looks like ya did good work grafting it on there.. just be carefull.. even your little SCUT is more than sufficient to make a black pretzle out of that atv rated implement.

I like the idea of using the receiver as the quick attach, that should be a strong enough connection.

I'll second what Soundguy said, just be careful with big chunks or frozen mounds. For freshly fallen and fluffy stuff should work great.

I'm going to attach some "ribbing" bands behind my 54" plow blade, just to give it a little more strength at the side edges.
You can take a look at any pick-up truck mounted plow and see how they re-inforce on the back side.

Very nice fit and finish, looks good on there!!

Oh, also, what do you think about adding some weights to the plow balde itself? Just thinking it may keep it from "skipping" over top of some of the stubborn stuff.

Those Cycle Country plows are really LIGHT DUTY plows. I had one on a 400CC ATV, and broke all the welds on it and bent it into a piece of scrap metal.
We bought a Moose plow and all is well now.

I'd add some serious bracing to that plow.

I realize it is a light duty plow, but the price was right($25).

I work for a company that builds concrete mixers and refuse bodies, so I've learned a thing or two about structure. I've also seen heavy, well built steel turned to scrap at the hands of abusive and inexperianced operators.

I did do some "stress analysis" this past weekend. About 600' of my Dad's driveway had washed out. I was able to push the ballast and 2A back in place and level it off with out breaking or bending anything. I thought for sure something would give. I did make one modification, I added a kick stand for easier removal form the Massey.

I intend to use it for light snow removal, so it should be OK. For the heavier stuff, I have bigger equipment.

Looks like a nice setup.

Just noticed you are from Berks County. I just came back from there today. My family is from there. Beautiful part of the country. I'm envious.

Thanks!

I'm in southern Berks. Not as nice as it used to be, All of the farms around me are now housing developements. Your part of Maryland is pretty nice, spent a lot of time in Hagerstown during my time with Mack and Antietam NBP is one of my favorite places to go on a weekend.

I don't know about ther plow being all that light duty. I have a 72" Cycle Country plow on my Yamaha Rhino and i plow a 2.5 mile driveway up over a mountain pretty close to 4 times a week for the last 3 winters now. It has never, ever missed a beat and works great.

Now, I'm really envious.... Wish I had that kind of plowing to do. (both the long drive, and the amt of snow):D

I like the work you did making everything fit and function nicely. Very clever using that receiver like that.
Good work on your part ciderman.
