Gary,
I have a twin post lift made by Challenger out of Louisville, Ky. Model 39000. The lift is rated at 9000Lb. and is made in USA. Cost was around $2800 plus $400 for installation since I had never installed one before. I've had it about 5 years now with no problems. When I was looking I wanted a lift that was wide enough between the posts and no floor plate to drive over. At the time this one was the widest at 109". Rise height is 78 1/2". overall width is 10'10". overall height is 12'6". I'm 6' and can easily walk underneath a vehicle and only have to duck for the lift arms. The local Ford garage bought a bunch of them here and I went and looked at them before buying mine. My buddy has a 7000Lb. forward lift and my lift cylinders are almost double the size of his and he can't get some vehicles in between the posts, If he does then he cant get out of them. I think his is 100" between posts. Mine did cost more than what you quoted but it is made here.
Best of luck on your purchase.
