Automated BMW manufacturing plant video - impressive !

I found this video of a highly automated BMW plant facinating. So few workers and so clean. Way different than any plant I have spent time in over the years. Thought some of you would enjoy it.

Impressive. My dream to work in a plant like that, so much technology. I imagine in 25 yrs it will be 95% automated, likely more, with humans solely in a QC and maintenance role.

Another impressive auto plant is VW's Transparent factory. Hardwood floors!! More impressive is how they integrated into the city.

Good stuff!! Do you suppose someone will watch these videos 50 or 100 years from now and see them as we see a Model T assembly film today. (or 10 years from now?)

Toured that plant and couldn't take pictures. Interesting to now see their own video posted. However when I toured - the robots painting were just like shown here - amazing how they can get every nook and cranny a person couldn't reach. The people, however, were not all as shown meaning not as carefully placing the BMW emblem and giving it that precise polishing touch.
