Wondering if anyone has purchased or has additional info on the Ultra-Tach system? They appear to be exclusive with CNH and the website says that they are "The world's first and only powered quick attach system for compact tractor front end loaders." Any of the dealers on the forum have some demos in house to evaluate? :D Here is the hyperlink... The system does look pretty cool if you are switching between QA attachments often. In my case, when I'm moving stuff in the barn or doing lite maintenance around the property, I'm constantly switching out between my bucket with the 2" receiver (moving trailers) or the pallet forks for moving around pallets of "stuff". Since it's slow and safe work, I generally have one or two of my small boys strapped into the seat with me so they can get a little safe seat time. Not that it's a big deal, but setting the brakes, shutting down the tractor, unstrapping everyone and getting them off the tractor to push/pull the QA pins onto the attachment gets to be a little old after doing it for a while and the boys lose interest...they just want to drive and have seat time! :D Anyway, I emailed our dealer and Ultra-Tach for some more info to see what they have to say. Could be a nice feature if it's not too pricey and you are always swapping QAs out.

Hi Guys. Here is the email response that I received from Ultra-Tach.

"Hi Matt,

Thank you for your interest in Electra-Tach. Our system is available for sale only through your CNH dealer. But yes, it's available. However, presently we are finalizing our units for the new 200 series loaders. The good news is it will also accommodate the cabs. Unfortunately it will be about 3 more weeks until we can start shipping the new version. Thank you for your patience on this.

Best Regards"

Here are the responses that I received back from our local CNH dealer on the Ultra-Tach system.

Email #1 -

"As of today we have not installed any of these exact systems. On our
skid steer loaders, about 1/2 of the units go with a bucket quick attach
system on them for convenience of switching buckets without leaving the
operators seat. Customers that switch bucket often, such as farmers
that have a feed bucket and manure bucket and maybe pallet forks,
greatly appreciate these devices. They can save a lot of time in some
circumstances and work very well. The cost of a Electra-Tach that will
go on your new unit would be $462.50 plus installation of $100 if you
would want us to do it."

Email #2 -

"Matthew - We have not as of yet installed an "Ultra-Tach" system. Many
Skid steers go out with a quick attach system that functions in a
similar fashion. New Holland and Case IH engineers have collaborated
with Ultra-Tach on this. It is an electrical motor that moves the pins
in and out, not hydraulics like the skid steers, so I would share your
concern regarding reliability years into the future. Keeping the
tractor in a shed and good regular maintenance go a long way to insure
that (Keeping pins clean and lubricated). The rep from Ultra-Tach I
talked to informed me that all the connections are plug-in; there is no
sodering, cutting etc. It comes with the correct fittings and wire
harness to fit into the wire harness on the tractor.
With your young children, and the need to change attachments often, I
can definitely see your need or want for this feature. Please let me
know if you have further questions, or if you would like to add this to
your purchase. Thanks, "

Hmmm...some interesting info. I'm now wondering if the system fails, is it easy to bypass and pin/unpin the QA manually or do you have to disconnect a bunch of garbage to finish your job? Any thoughts or questions guys?

Here is the info back from our dealer on the manual bypass if the system fails.

"Matt - I received information from Ultra-Tach regarding a manual bypass in the event of a failure and there are a couple of ways to do that. He did not elaborate, but apparently they have addressed this issue. Do you want to add that to your purchase?".

Unless you guys have any further thoughts or questions, I'll just let this post die off into the Archives... :D
