You can keep memory parameters in non volitile memory without power but need a battery to run an oscilator to keep time. Have this on some clocks, and now the back-up battey is a PITA!

I have three of these in my shop installed in 2016 on conventional track doors. Love them. Quiet and all kinds of remote options. Mine also have the automatic deadbolt lock.

I have a Manaras Opera Model MH on a 12 x 10 rollup door in my shop

It works very well. I bought an optional limit switch for it that can be wired NO or NC that controls an outside light.
The outside light has a photo cell, so when the door opens at night the outside light comes on, and when door closes light goes off.
During the day or course, the photo cell keeps the light from coming on.
