One of my camera club topics for this month is "Automobilia", so I put together this collection of shots to enter. Thought the gear heads out there may be interested. All taken at either the Auburn-Cord-Deusenberg Museum in Auburn, IN or the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI.

It's a toss up between the tire machine and the one with Bonnie & Clyde. They all look like postcards, didn't think they were originals at first, but I know your into photography.

You mentioned something about car museums the other day and I was hoping you'd post some pics! :) Nice shots. :D

The ACD museum is great! I haven't been there in 17 years, so it is about time for a return visit. Have you been to the Studebaker Museum? Not as nice as the ACD but still a very impressive display.

Thanks! I think the Studebaker Museum is very impressive, especially since they moved to the Oliver Mansion complex. Some rare vehicles and nicely displayed.

Trivia time: I said vehicles and not cars because they have both cars and wagons. Studebaker was the only wagon manufacturer to successfully transition to cars. They have several presidential carriages in their collection.

While not a complete car maker, Fisher Body was a carriage maker before building bodies for GM, thus the carriage incorporated in their emblem.

I hated to see the end of Studebaker and Packard more than the end of Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Plymouth.

I saw a Bail Out Studebaker bumper sticker at the McD's drive through a couple months ago! Thought it was pretty funny. :)

There are still quite a few Stude's driving around town here. Some really nice trucks, especially.

Here's a link to a really good site with tons of pics.
Picture review of the Studebaker from 1902 to 1939

The 36 Dictator is a sweet ride! :)

the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI.

I never pass up a car museum, but I have never been to that one, despite
living in W MI in the 60s (Niles area).

I saw this in Livingston, MT 3-4 yr ago. Keeping the tractor theme going.....
