Mackattack,
At idle there is a small amount of vibration which goes away as I throttle up. The only other movement I get is as the tractor bounces around.
I have to honestly say, that I have yet to actually use the tractor at night to need the lights, to see if bugs will be a concern.
OK, now your all probably wondering. If he has never used the lights, why did he install them. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
It's a guy thing !! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Actually, at the present time, it was more important to me to have the flashing hazard ligts for safty while road traveling and for road side work.

Mark I think the only reason that you are getting any vibration in the canopy & lights is the fact that the removable pin in the ROPS allows a little slop factor in the folding hinge arrangement. I noticed on my canopy the very same vibes the first week that I had my TC-40D. Because my rig is housed in a pole barn with 12 foot ceilings and 10 foot doors I removed the pins and inserted 5/8 inch grade 8 bolts & locknut's making my ROPS stationary. The vibration and noise that was originally there is now gone.

Now before the ROPS police chime in here let me state that I drilled no holes in my ROPS, and made no permanent changes to it. I can remove the bolts and locknut's, reinsert the pin & keeper at a later date if I choose to do so. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mike,
Knowing the ROPS hinge's were going to be a minor problem and that I will never fold mine down. The very first thing I did was to remove the factory pins, inserted a small rubber wedge on each side and then securely bolted mine.
The vibrating I am getting is just there at idle, I dn't suspect that anything I do will get rid of it.

Mark if you have already eliminated the ROPS lock pin, then the only difference that I might suspect between our two tractors that might be the difference is the 3 vs 4 cylinder engine. I thought possibly I might help with that idle vibe, sorry. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hi Point. Mark has a New Holland TC35D w/ 16LA FEL.

I see that you are a new member here at TBN so I'll let you in on a shared secret. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif If you click on a members name in the left column and that member has filled in his bio you can retrieve a bit of information on their tractor as well as other useful info.

BTW since I let you in on this secret the next time that you help a new member it is now up to you to share this information with him. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I see that you didn't fill yours in yet so you may want to take a minute when you can to do that. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
