AZ carry

Anyone up on the AZ carry laws? I have ridden occassionally with the Patriot Guard here and I see dozens of guys riding their motorcycles with firearms in holsters. First question is - are they loaded? Seems like a stupid question - why carry if not loaded, but I don't want to assume anything these days.

Next question is I heard that for the last year, you no longer need a CC permit to carry concealed in AZ.

So if I am correct, I can carry open or concealed, loaded, without a permit and be legal??

Arizona has allowed open carry as long as I've lived here and I'm sure a lot longer. You may now also carry concealed in most places without a CCL. And yes they may be loaded.

My wife and I both have CCLs and are renewing, partly as insurance in case the 'general' concealed carry gets repealed.

Thanks all! I may consider the permit for insurance purposes - it always looks better to have completed a training course. Cheap insurance.
