The baisc unit is the same but any TSB's (tech updates) may change from year to year so if you go "nearly new" these should be covered under Kubota warranty. Also likely the major differences will be the attachments or lack thereof - Hyd Thumb, bucket forks, and so on.

Does the b26 come with the universal skid steer style quick attach on the FEL or is it that sad thing kubota came up with?

As for the o/p I started my business with a bx23 and a love for playing in the dirt, 3 months into it i was the proud papa of a new b3030 tlb, and a zd326. I got an offer i couldnot pass up to return to working for the man but still use my equipment on a few jobs each month and love it, and love the tax break they get me.

They indicate a "skid steer attachment type" but it does have levers to lock the attachment and I have seen skid steers with auto/hyd clamps so I suppose it depends on the skid steer unit you have.

Mine has the standard bobcat/skidsteer quick attach with manual levers to lock. I use the same attachments on a s160bobcat as the tractor. only problem is the tractor don't have the flow for the bobcat auger.
