I forgot to say the other thing I like about the way you chose the setup. In my mind, I think I would equate the curl function to load the bucket with the clamping down motion of the 4-in-1 and the dumping action with the release of the 4-in-1.

I like to make it as easy as possible for my brain to grasp a task, and this only adds the button pushing to the equation.

I'm having serious 'bucket envy'. That's a great looking setup. I'd really like to know where you got that control stick knob. That looks much more elegant than mine.

I have a grapple for my loader which I did have to plumb off the boom circuit instead of the bucket circuit. I found it was just too awkward to not be able to roll the bucket back while closing the clamp and the same time, or the reverse, dump the bucket while opening the clamp. The stutter-step back and forth to do both made for a lot of loader rattling. And the original set up as it came from the dealer was even worse...to curl the bucket, the stick goes left, then to clamp down you had to go back to nuetral, press the button, then go full right past the de'tent. Ugh.

With the plumbing off the boom circuit you can simultaneously curl the bucket and clamp, or dump the bucket and open...it just seemed a more natural motion. I'm sure you could get use to doing it either way...except for the dealers way...that was rediculous.

Rolando and Pat,

I've tried to find out the name of the Joystick control for you guys. My sales rep at my dealer is gone, and no one else seemed to be overly "energetic" to find out for me. My invoice makes mention of a manufacturer called Selecto, I googled it and found this. The top photo shows what appears to be very close to my unit.

I wasn't able to get the link to work, but going to the Valtra web site, then 'products', then 'front loader', then 'controls', I see a photo second down from the top that looks like your joystick.

This must be the control they have for their loaders. I think your salesman must have known about it and ordered a replacement control from them. We need more info. Is your salesman gone forever, or just temporarily?

That picture on the Valtra site definitely looks like the same loader handle you have. I looked on the Valtra site and it does not look like they have much of a presence here in the US. One way you might be able to find out more info from the dealer is to tell them that you want to have the ordering information for the handle in case you ever need to replace it. They must have some records in the accting dept. about where they ordered it from before they sold it to you. There should be an invoice along with part numbers and the place they actually bought it from. Along with the rest of use who would love to know where to get one of these it might help you out in the future in case you ever need to replace it.
