B&S on mud hog pump

So I am trying to get an old B&S engine running. Got it to run just a bit pouring gas down the carb. Took the carb off and soaked it in thinner, got everything cleaned up. The problem is that the air mixture threaded piece ( Has a 7/16 hex with external threads, screws into carb and internal threads, jet screws into) is corroded and broke. Now the engine shroud may have been changed as the Model 80312, Type 1524-01 shows a different carb on the parts list. My carb comes straight out from the horizontal shaft engine, has the tank mounted under with 1 pickup tube. There is no other numbers on the carb. The B&S parts website is down and I need help to find the part/prt# to get this running. Thanks

How about an 090212? I can't really see what size tank you have there. Here is an EBay listing for an old carb as this particular one is NLA. \Briggs & Stratton 3HP 212 9212 Carburetor (1 QT Tank) 495461 | eBay

That's a different carb, I have a 1 quart tank. I only have 1 pickup tube and no diaphragm pump on the side. Not sure if it will work, I know it won't bolt to the tank, only have 2 screws to attach mine. Thanks

I'll keep my thinking cap on. Now, it looks like your intention is to get the old engine up and running- though it may be less hassle to replace it. Especially if there is lots of corrosion in the tank as well. So is the body of the main still in the carburetor? If it was able to be extracted and you have a Briggs dealer near you that has been around for a while, there was a special Briggs tool that was a tap for the threads for the old Flo jet carbs which may be the same thread as your main.

Yes I would like to get the old engine running if possible. I have looked at drawings and think I found the correct carb and I have ordered another jet that may work p/n 299059

The part I need is 117, but I ordered 681 as an assembly. See part 96A? If the drawing is correct, then that is the defining part for my carb.

It's running very good now. Just need to work on the flapper check valves to get her pumping.
