Canopy B-series canopy

Anyone have a canopy on their B-series? I looked at the Sunguard canopies and they seem OK, but it's mounted to brackets that put the canopy forward of the rollbar.

My whole interest in a canopy is to stay a bit drier when snowplowing. Having the canopy forward of the ROPS would seem to allow water to drip on your back.

I have one on my BX2660 and had one just like it on an L3240. It sits on the roll bar so it keeps water off your neck. They have one for B's just like it. Got mine at Barlows. The one I got for the L was a name brand but the one I got for the BX I think is a no name brand which probably saves some money. The one for the L had 2 handles you pull down and lift the canopy off. The one on the BX does not have the easy removal feature, I was going to send pictures but I'm not home where my pictures are stored on my desktop. I posted pictures a few months ago showing installing the canopy on the BX. Search for it or those great searchers can find it and add the link to this page.

My dealer stocks an OEM canopy made by Femco. Fits perfect and a reasonable price.

How about:
Supplies-
Go to hardware store, buy 5x7 tarp, you could splurge on a good one.
Get two poles of appropriate length, pound sturdy nail in one end, hose clamp for reinforcement. Dig around in shop and find something to attach to the other end of pole to create a notch with a bit of depth.
Dig around some more and find some lite rope and a couple of bungee cords.

Method-
attach a skinny end of tarp to top of ROPS, overlap the top for more neck
drip protection. put nail end of poles through eyelets on other end of tarp.
Set notched end on FEL attachment point. Tie light rope around nails and other end to handy spot on forward end of tractor. Hook bungee over center of rope and to good spot on tractor to take up slack from wind
gusts and bumps.

Voila, custom fit canopy for under $20.
