I have a Kubota B1700 and I'm not sure if the 2 things are related but...I had a metal tube that moves hydraulic fluid brake this week and I lost about 2 Gals of fluid before I realized I had a problem and shut my tractor down. I replaced the tube and everything seemed ok, sounded normal and I drove around the barn and field for about 5 minutes so I figured everything was ok. I then hooked up my rear PTO lawn mower go about 50 feet and realize there is something wrong with the rear wheel and thats when I notice the shear pin that hold the wheel on the axle is gone. I can sping the axle with my hand and it seems to be normal when in N and doesn't move when in gear and the other rear tire is on the ground. I don't know when the shear pin broke, it could have been like that before I had the hydraulic leak. Other then spinning them and listening for noise, how do I make sure the gears are ok? What would make the shear pin break? I'm at a bit of a lose to even know what to check, any advice would be appreciated.
