B1750 Log Splitter

Hi all

A newbie , have just purchased a mint B1750 HST 4WD with 60" deck and massive rear collector

However i want to use a Hydraulic log splitter during the autumn and winter etc on the rear, now question is how the heck do i connect this into the B1750 i cannot see any take off points for the hyd lines !

Not familiar with your tractor but, if it has a pto you could find a splitter that has a pto pump on it and runs of your tractors pto. You could just get a tow around splitter also it will have better cycling power Thant most smaller tractors.

that is not my problem i seem to have no rear connections for the pump lines to connect to

Does your B1750 have a loader on it? I don't think that machine has a place for a rear hydraulic block, so you'd have to tap into the power beyond circuit coming back from the loader.

No do not have a front loader that is next on the list to sort.

tap into rear ok this is a little beyond me i am afraid at the moment with my knowledge sorry

I think what you'll need to do is contact a Kubota dealer in your area and ask if they make a rear remote kit for the B1750... If there isn't a local dealer I can call here and see if they make a kit and what the components are.

To run a splitter you don't need full rear remotes... You just need "power beyond" and the splitter needs to have an open center style valve....

I called the Kubota dealer and there is no Power Beyond kit for that machine.... So you'd have to plumb it off the pump.

The pump would be mid machine and before the transmission I think... You may want to invest in a shop service manual for that machine...

So in the pump there will be a Out with a plug and an In with a plug or they may have a tube from one to the other. You'd have to use a 90 degree fitting on the out and run the hose to the rear with a Quick Detach fitting " Male". and the same for the In with a female QD and connect the two togetherso fluid is always circulating...

That machine I'd guess you wan't 3/8 hoses.... Though the fittings to the pump are most likley 1/2 in.

Somewhere there should be a 'hydraulic take-off' block. It will probably be under the floor board or somewhere along the frame on the left or right side. I'm not sure on your model, but generally there is a mating block that you can purchase from Kubota (should still be available through the parts dept) that allows you to hook hoses up the ports on that block. From there you just have to run the 'in' and 'out' hoses back to the splitter, which should have it's own open center valve. When you aren't using the splitter you will have to connect the two ends of the hoses on the tractor so the 3pt hitch will still function. Essentially you are creating what is known as a Power-Beyond circuit. There are directions in the owners manual about the hydraulic take-off port, if you don't already have a manual that should probably be your next purchase.
