Kubota B1750
I just purchased a Kubota b1750 (21hp). I wanted to thank everyone who assisted in providing feedback.

I am looking to purchase implements and hear different rules of thumb. Is it 4ft or 5ft per hp( and is it gross or pto hp?)?

I'm looking to add a rake, back blade, box scraper and rotary cutter.

I appreciate your assistance.

Acres;

I have a B1750HSD that I use for lawn mowing and snow plowing.

I use the Kubota 60" MMM, and am quite pleased with the combination. The Bi-Speed turn makes the set-up more maneuverable and minimizes turf damage during tight turns.

I use a 6' rear blade that I had before buying the Kubota to plow snow. I plow a steep 300" paved driveway both uphill and down in the heaviest snowfalls realized in my area but do use F&R chains to do so. If I were to buy a back blade to use only with the 1750, I would buy a 5' blade. Heavy snow would still require chains to plow both uphill and down.

I do not use a rough cut mower with the 1750 but would recommend nothing larger than a 48" bush hog type mower for this tractor. It is neither powerful nor heavy enough for anything larger.

Acres:

I should have have mentioned that my 1750 is a hydrostat. The B1750HSD produces only 14 HP at the PTO as the hydrostat is rather inefficnent. In any event, always use PTO HP when sizing PTO driven equipment such as mowers.

Thank you, mine is gear drive and is 15hp at the pto.

For a box blade...should I look at 4ft?

Yes. Nothing bigger than a 48" box blade.
