Kubota B20 TLB & new hollandtc30
my tractor is hydrostatic, it still moves etc, the loader goes up, curls, tilts, etc but when you push the lever forward for it to go down, Nothing! you have to push it forward , and kinda left, and play with it a little and it goes down finally, After i found this problem, i turned around to use the hoe, the only thing the hoe will do , is uncurl the bucket, and stabbers will go down, but neither will curl back up or raise stabbers. nothing else works at all. it wont swing, raise, lower, NOTHING !!!!! it has worked fine in the past, This is crazy !

First hyd oil and filters OK - changed or you know when this was done?

Then the 3PT has lever on my B21 that pull up for 3PT down for BH - check that lever mechanism - not sure where that is on the B20 vs 21 though.

IF this just started out of the blue, and loader goes up but not down then something is blocking the oil return possibly. There are two pumps - one for power steering and one for loader/BH so if the loader is working going up the pump is likely OK.

The way the loader is working mght be a valve or linkage issue too - Messicks Equipment has parts lists showing valves and lines and connections on line to start to narrow down your component list if you don't have a workshop manual.

I have a B21. Two possibilities come to mind if all these problems came up suddenly at the same time.

One, check the lever that controls the diverter valve backhoe vs three point. Like Carl_NH said. I knocked it out of position one time and it can cause problems.

Two, the high pressure fluid goes from the loader valve to the BH valve stack. It sounds to me like your loader valve linkage might be screwed up, such that the valve is not functioning properly, and also is not sending the high pressure fluid through the power beyond port to the BH.

Those are just guesses but if it happened to me that is where I would start checking.

If there are quick couplers for the loader, open and re-seat all of them.

If you removed the loader then possibly you have put a hose back in the wrong place on the loader valve

thank you for info, i just bought it 5 weeks ago, previous owner took off hoe to replace axle seals that were leaking, after that, he reinstalled, drained and changed all hyd, and filter. I have used it for about 6 hrs total, both loader and hoe, they were working great! I did check hyd level when problem started, its still full, i noticed a quick con going back to hoe is leaking just a few drops , but cant believe that would cause all this, but will change that this wk. i did pull the 3 pt lever back, { its located on the right side of seat, just in front of throttle lever } the arms raised up, then i pushed the lever back down, and had to push arms back down manually of course , because of nothing attached to them. so it sounds like its something more serious, darn, those kubota dealers arnt cheap. thanks for the help, ill let you know if i ever get it figured out
