Its wood time again in NH and here are some shots of my set up - a front mounted splitter from Doug @ Ramsplitter modified from the normal 3PTH set up,
Legs were added to the normal unit along with 15' hoses so I can keep the BH attached as well easily R&R the splitter. I can hook this up in 2-3 minutes and pin up the BH and be splitting. When done its just as easy to unhook and slide into the corner of the barn for the next cord.
For big logs I remove the front leg and drop it to the ground to load, split them and then lift to working height to complete. This setup doesnt need to use the 3PTH and is fast to R&R - just pick up and go.
