B21 HST Issue

I have a B21 tractor that seems to be stuck in low range, the shifter and rod seems to be moving OK. It works in low just fine forward and reverse, clutch disingages trans ok when depressed, shift to high and it is still in low, try shifting to med, and the tracor doesn't move. Seems as if it never releases from low.
Any thoughts?

Broken linkage (internal) of some type is my guess.

I had flakey shifting when the bolts holding the shift lever and that funny looking 'H' set of brackets were loose. Easy to check. This also caused it to pop out of gear from time to time. If not that, then curtisfarmer guess is my guess too.

I have a B21. Some time ago I had some problems with the tractor slipping out of gear. Turns out that the 2 bolts connecting the gear selector to the linkage were loose. Someone had also added a couple of washers as spacers to help align the gear selector better in the "h" shaped slot on the fender.

I took the washers off and found that I couldn't easily shift gears due to the shifter rubbing against the "h" cutout. Could this be the case for you?
