I am looking at a 2000 B21 with 2900 hours, Used on rental program. I can purchase for $6500. Looks rough, has new pins and always maintained, but used hard. Would this be a decent deal or should I spend more for one in better shape. I will only use it 100 hours per year. I will also be using this to bushhog about 6 acres twice a year. Any other suggestions. Thanks glad I found this forum.

The B21 has 13.5 PTO horsepower. Is that enough for your bush hogging?
If it starts and runs well it is a lot of tractor for the money especially if it includes the backhoe.
The 3 point hitch hardware should be stored alongside the front end loader and below the floor. If they are not included they cost $500 to $1000.

I purchased a 2004 B21 with 1150 hours on it about a year ago. I have used it a little over 100 hours since. My usage has been moving trees, stumps and rocks and trenching through rock. Many of the stumps have been to large for it to pick up so I pushed them hundreds of feet and then up the side of a burn pile. I have also buried it in mud above the axles several times. I have really pushed it hard. The damage so far has been one FEL hose ($30), one fan belt ($8) and an electrical fault in the safety switch circuit that I believe to be caused by mud.
Rental at at almost 3000 hours... that's like dog year's, you multiply by 7 to give it's real age? 21,000 hours. Just kidding, I would test everything and get a mechanic to look at it closely... I would not assume the "maintenance records" are truthful... buyer has to be aware and check it out completely. Look for cracks in welds, leaks, any odd noise.

Don't sound like a bad deal if it has a the backhoe on the machine. & Yes it has alot of hours but its priced accordingly. Have fun with it and enjoy.

Are you a mechanic? A machine that's been in the rental business for 3000 hours has probably been pretty well beaten up. Used construction equipment is going for pretty low prices these days.
The B21 is a pretty small unit. Kubota only rates it for a 42" brush mower, 300# max.
I have one (with loader and backhoe, bought it with 90 hours on it) and it's been a good little unit. I now have 500 hours on it.
