After MANY nights browsing other threads about different lighting options, I finally settled on a design that fit my needs & tractor. Here is a breakdown of what I did and some pics:
*As for the lights, my wife was kind enough to put a Tractor Supply gift card in my Christmas stocking. So, I used that to buy two 55W Halogens, a stake pocket to use as part of my mounting bracket, and all of the necessary hardware.
*I was able to find the hot wire at the back of my rig (above my 3pt and below my back right tail light). This was a HUGE time saver. From there, I ran my wire to my lights, switch, and ground. After much deliberation, I put my switch on the plastic fairing right below my seat. It allows for easy access, while keeping me from accidentally turning them on all of the time.
*As for running my wires, I decided to use these 3M zip tie things that my brother in law gave me. They do a nice job of keeping the wiring clean. The key was that I didn't have to drill into the ROPS (big no no), or zip tie completely around the ROPS.
Anyway, I think it turned out pretty well. I'm sure there are people that don't like everything I did, but I think it'll do me just fine. Now I'm ready for some heavy snow!
