Last night while snowblowing, I lost 1 of the 4 functions of the B2325 joystick on my B3030. I lost the lift function, but still had the ability to lower the snowblower and rotate the snowblower chute left and right. Before I lost lift completely, it was raising, but very slowly. I rechecked the hydraulic level which was good. I swapped the raise and lower hoses and was able to lift the blower by what would normally be lowerering with the joystick and got back to my pole barn. Upon examining the B2325 joystick, I noticed one screw was loose on the right side. The screw is too short to go all the way thru the joystick, but there is nothing in the hole for the screw to thread into. I did a search here for the B2325 and did not find anything like my problem. I also cannot find a parts diagram for the B2325 to see what the screw threads into. Here is a picture of the side of the B2325. The screw is out from the center hole in the side. I pulled the boot up and the joystick is still moving both control rods under the boot. Are there cables that the B2325 controls? View attachment 582046View attachment 582047

Yes there are 2 cables that run from the loader control to the valve located in front of the right side lower cab window.
I've wondered what to do when the inevitable cable malfunction happens!
Good Luck!

I disassembled the cable end at the joystick, nothing broken at the joystick end. I must have finished off breaking the cable in moving the joystick around as I lost the function to lower the blower as well. I will order a cable, but cant seem to find any parts diagram or part numbers online for the cable.

Looking forward to seeing how your repair goes,so the rest of us can learn!
Wouldn't it be nice to have the instruction sheet that came with it,the one the dealer threw away?
Good Luck!

After much searching, found a diagram of the valve and cable assembly within the LA403 loader. I dont have a loader on my tractor, but the B2781A front snowblower uses the same valve and joystick. I had to remove the broken cable first as there were two different length cables listed. If you do have the LA403 loader, you can use the serial number of the loader to determine which cable length you will need. Once I had the broken cable off, I could see the other cable was close to breaking so I ordered two and will replace both while I have it apart. 20181215_100343.jpg20181215_100544.jpg20181215_100942.jpg20181215_093937.jpg20181215_102337.jpg

Got the cables replaced and back up and running. For those in the same scenario as me with a front mount B2781A snowblower but no front loader, the cables are found in the LA403 loader parts manual. Do yourself a favor if replacing the cables and also order the cable end kit. The aluminum cup that covers the end of the cable may corrode to the steel thead on the cable. The aluminum thread in the cup will probably gall when disassembling the old cable. 20190110_204238.jpg20190110_204310.jpg

Thanks for posting your findings and recommendations. I'm certain others will need this info as these tractors become older.

Including a picture of the illustrated parts drawing in the event it helps anyone.

Also, a reassembly tip. Put the cables back together with the joystick off the tractor and lying on a workbench, then put the cable ends on the valve.
