Hello all, hope your doing well. I recently bought a burned up B2400 that I have about finished rebuilding. Everything behind the firewall to the seat that was plastic melted and as you can imagine it has been an interesting project.
Now that everything is back together and I am using the tractor, I have found that the power steering is dead and the three point hitch, after a couple minutes of use, is dead. I can sometimes get the hitch to raise by upping the engine RPM's, but not very often. Usually the hitch works fine at first when the tractor is first started.
All the line have been flushed and filters replaced(for obvious reasons).I did have to take the top of the power steering assembly off to replace the top shaft seal and the two o-rings between the cover that had melted.
One of the service techs where I by my parts said it could be the flow divider on the pump. I have checked for leaks in the suction hose and have not found any.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad
Oops, I think I may have messed up when I put the power steering gearbox back together. I think it's operating at relief. Will know when it's back together.
