Oil & Fuel B2400 leaking badly at valve body

My 1998 B2400HSD began leaking its hydraulic oil badly next to the valve body. There are too many brackets in the way to see exactly where the oil is coming from. I can easily see that it's not from any of the plugs in the bottom of the valve body. It might be coming from the pump housing.

I'm now in the process of removing the loader frame and the reinforcing bracket and foot-deck in order to see what's going on.

Has anyone seen this problem with B2x00 tractors before?

Yeah Peter, I had a similar problem with my then new 2007 BX24. I was doing a job for a neighbour moving 100 yards of topsoil and noticed the oil trail behind me. Turned out the valve body was leaking terribly. Called the dealer, told 'em I was in the middle of a job (late afternoon Friday on a long weekend with sod arriving Sat AM). I got a loaner when I dropped off my machine. Neoprene seals were blown.

Repeated itself about 2 weeks from the repair. The factory was installing seals without greasing them and the dealer followed the factory protocol.

After the second warranty repair, the seals (greased when they installed 'em the second time) are doing fine with my machine now at approx 400+ hours...touch wood.

The short answer, sounds like the neoprene has dried out...just a thought.

I'm hoping that's the problem. Getting down to the aread on the tractor is a real big job! Taking the loader frame off took about an hour and then removing the floor pan and foot pedals was another two. I suppose it's much slower since I'm studying things as I go.

Thanks for telling me your story. It gives me hope that splitting this tractor is worth the effort. They sure don't build these tractors with repairs in mind.
