Hello,

I am experiencing problems with the front end loader of the new to me b2630. The tractor is a 2012 with 225 hrs on it. The problem occurred over the last two days while the temperatures were below freezing. The tractor is equipped with the fender mounted joystick that his cable operated to the control valve.

The problem is the loader will not lower under power and will only lower when the stick is pushed to the float setting where the weight of the loader brings it down. Second problem is the loader will raise when only 1/3 of the stick is pulled back. Anything beyond the 1/3 mark and the loader will not raise. The loader also does not have any power even when it will lift.

All curling functions seem to be working normally.

I haven't pulled the valve apart or anything yet going to contact the dealer we bought it from to see if there is any warranty.

Any suggestions would be appreciated ion case I have to tackle this myself

A newbie here, but are the hydraulic connectors fully engaged? And, I think it is only gravity that allows the FEL to lower. But there are better ones on TBN to help you out.
Cheers,
Mike

Sorry I should have noted that I removed all the connectors and reattached.

Not that you didn't, but make sure the connections "click" when reattached; otherwise they (one) may look connected but isn't.....But hey, when it is really cold.........who knows.

The quick connectors are seated. There maybe some condensation that froze but the symptoms just seem a little wacky to me. Especially with lifting issue.

I have read a few times here about condensation that builds up in the loader valve and then freezes and causes weird symptoms. Can't recall the effected models but it might be someplace to start looking.

Before taking it to the dealer I would at least pull the bottom cap off the boom spool and and make sure the bolt (holding the spring/detent) is tight...

The operating cables from the joystick to the valve can also fail in cold weather. These get moisture in them and cause them to freeze up and not move the valve sools properly. Not sure how buried your directional valve is but with the tractor off and the loader down can you look at the spool movement Vs joystick movement?

Apparently your QD's are not working due to water in the oil of lift QD failed.

Repair or replace.

It is to hard to remove water from the fluid, so replace the fluid, and keep tractor covered if left outside.

Check spools like oldnslow said.
