Kubota B2630 & ZD323
Getting ready to do the 50 hour service on the ZD323 in the very near future and on the B2630 later this summer. I got a couple quotes for the materials and am confused by the difference in parts between them. I did not specify parts, just asked for a quote on the materials to do the 50 hour service and gave the model numbers. Quote 2 includes air filters, I don't think I need to replace the air filters at 50 hours correct? Quote 2 also includes enough SUDT to drop the fluid in both units. I don't think this is necessary for the ZD323 correct? Due to this and the generally lower prices of quote 1 I am inclined to purchase from them. Does it look like it includes everything I need? Also, can anyone tell or show me where to find the screens I should be cleaning? I can't find anything about them in either manual.

Thanks!

Well, for starters you need to look at your manual and determine what is required for the 50 hour service. There seems to be a little confusion and/or recommendation on this.

Next, there are some issues with the quotes. If you look at the part numbers, you can match several line items. (By the way, it looks like Beavercreek consistently has a higher markup in prices.)

The three line items for the B2630 in the Messick's quote can be found in the Beavercreek quote.

Two of the line items for the ZD323 in the Messick's quote can be found in the Beavercreek quote.

Five gallons of SUDT in the Messick's quote can be found in the Beavercreek quote.

All is good up to here.. and here is where it gets strange...

There is a HYD FILTER for the ZD323 in the Messick's quote that I can't find in the Beavercreek quote.

There is 7 quarts of 10W-30 in the Messick's quote that I can't find in the Beavercreek quote.

There is a line item for a single (1) quart of SUDT in the Messick's quote that is not in the Beavercreek quote... but there is a line item in the Beavercreek quote for 17 quarts of SUDT.

The Beavercreek quote also has air filters listed for each machine that is not in the Messick's quote.

Getting air filters isn't necessarily a bad thing... but the other discrepancies is a problem that should be resolved.

Based on the information provided, Messick's appears to be lower in price. (I base this on matching line item comparisons... not total quote price.) Once you get these two very differing quotes figured out, Messick's will probably be the place to go.

I agree, look at your owners manual and see what needs done. I have a 2 year old BX2350, and my bood says to change ALL of the hydraulic fluid and the filter. It doesn't say to clean the screen untill later. The newer BX's say to change only the filter and clean the screen. Who knows which is better, but I'd do what your manual says.

Thanks for the links TripleR & KubieTwo. After reading these and lookong at a my tractor, I think I may have found the screen location on my B2630 but not the mower (ZD323). See Pics attached and let me know if this is where the screen is located on the tractor. The circles are where I think the screen may be.

Thanks,
Rob

I was told by my dealer there is no hydraulic screen on that series tractor.

Earl may very well be right, if there is one it should be pointed out in your Manual.

I can't speak with authority on the B2630 but the B7510 and b7610 do have. It is right beside the suction filter. Both the B7510 and B7610 have 2 range transmissions so the difference may be that the screen was dropped on the 3 range transmissions in the smaller B series.
