B2710 3 Pt Won\'t Lower

Hello, been awhile since I've been on...glad to see the forum continues to do well.

Odd problem on my 2000 B2710, 260 hours. The 3 PH is stuck in the full up position....as is my 72" belly mower. Checked all linkages...nothing jambed. Lever actuating the the connection to the diff moves freely as well. No noises at any position, or when moving.

Never had a problem before.....use extensively when mowing/grading.

Searched the posts and found no similar issues.

Any help appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

Try fully opening the knob that controls speed of 3PH down speed. Should be located in front and below tractor seat. Then adjust for proper speed when hitch starts working again.

Check your drop rate knob. I had a similar situation driving me nuts. Discovered that my kids like to turn knobs /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It's between your legs on most tractors /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sure enough, that was it. My 2 y/o was playing up there the other day and must have tweaked the control to lock position.
