This Saturday I am going to look at a B2710, 4wd, HST with 60" bellymower. It is either a 2000 or 2001 with about 370 hours.
What things should I look for (good and bad) when inspecting the tractor?
Also, does Kubota still make a FEL for this tractor and would the tractor be able to handle a 2 blade 14" washboard plow?
Any and all input would be much appreciated.

Ask alot of questions concerning service and use. Are they original purchaser? Operate all functions of MMM and forward and reverse movement of tractor. Try it on hills up and down. Visually inspect lower parts of mowing deck and under the tractor. Ask more questions. Check all fluids for recent changes or black. Ask more questions. If not original purchaser then ask alot of questions concerning original owner. If you find any scratches, rub your finger over them and keep coming back to the scratches but never say anything.

I went to look at the B2710 this morning was in decent shape (hood had a few scratches) engine was clean. It ran very good in all ranges forward and reverse and up and down hills without a hitch.
However, when cutting the grass which was pretty thick and about 8-9 inches high, level ground, the engine really bogged down, killed the tractor a couple of times. Upon inspection of the blades they were very dull. I was able to wrap my hand around the blade and squeeze without feeling and sharpness, the blades were very rounded.
I am a little concerned about it bogging down in such low grass or could this be due to the dullness of the blades and nothing to worry about. Any input would be greatly appreciated, I have 24 hours to let the owner know if I want to buy it.
By the way, the tractor has about 670 hours and he is asking $7000.

As for the mowing, I didn't have a mid-mount mower myself, but with the Bush Hog RDTH60 (60" 3-point finish mower), I've mowed grass that was over a foot tall and the tractor never bogged down. I did find out that I could go fast enough to run over some without doing a good job of cutting it, but at normal mowing speeds, 12" grass was no problem at all. And with a 5' brush hog, I've mowed Johnson Grass that was taller then the tractor with no problem.
