Hello all..this just happened..i went to the barn and cranked over my 1967 IH b275...haven't had any issues. .it started and ran for 30 ish seconds then fizzles dead...i go to start is and it wants to go but won't catch...i to i ran her dry but thee was about and inch an inch and half of fuel...any ideas??

Pull a spark plug, and make sure your getting fuel that far. If it is, then more than likely it is an ignition problem.

Just had a similar incident with my Super C, but had been running for 30 minutes just fine. Went to back it in the barn, and it coughed & died, and would not restart. Had power to points, but not beyond. Did a quick cleanup, but still no fire. Installed a new set of points... Just touched the starter, and she fired right off.

Gas or diesel engine?
(did they make a B-275 gas model?)

Yes, they made a B-275 gas model, that uses the BC-144 engine. And I'm not sure how I assumed he has a gas model, and still not sure, since there has been no reply.

But to go a bit further with my problem, it was not just the points burned on mine, as it did the same thing the next day. Come to find out, the threads where the wire from the pos. side of the coil attaches, were tarnished. Not really corroded, just a bit of green tarnish on the brass threads, kept it from making a good connection.

Started fine the next day, and ran for 15-20 minutes just fine. I shut it off, and it sat for maybe 20 minutes while I loaded the manure spreader. Got back on to spread the load, and would not start. Did a quick check with a test light, and found no current out of the coil, to dist. Figuring the coil was bad, was taking it off to match one at the parts store, when I saw the tarnish. Brushed it off, then re-tested, and had current. Put a dab of dielectric grease on it, and have been back in business ever since. I LOVE an E-Z fix..!!
