Hi Folks,
I have an older, (80's), B2800 that I have owned for 10 years with no problems. When starting on a cool morning 3 days prior, it started and sounded like a gas motor when it is skipping. I had the throttle pretty low for starting but when I throttled up it went away and I blew it off. Ran fine that day and the next 2, about 7 hrs total. Yesterday I was working, 3 hrs running time, tractor idling while I shoveled. I noticed a lot of smoke coming from exhaust when normally can barely see any. Backed out and took load to dump it, (50'), then to the barn, (50'). Started the same "skipping" and smoke now billowing on way to barn. No noises, snaps, clanging, banging of any kind were heard at any time. Would this be an injectors issue or something more sinister? Any assistance would be appreciated, I am diesel illiterate!
Thanks
