So I was running the tractor....mostly mowing (PTO RPM) for maybe 3-4 hours in ~90 degree heat yesterday. When I pulled it into the barn, and turned it off....I heard a noise continuing in the front of the tractor... Turns out the...coolant? was at hard rolling boil for about 5+ minutes, some of it leaking out onto the floor... I assume this is the tractor overheating?
Any thoughts on how big a deal this is? Did it likely happen an hour earlier and I just didnt realize that or is there some reason it would happen as I turn the tractor off?
Is it likely that it having overheated has caused some kind of other damage or can I probably just top it off with coolant and continue?
I was due for a service anyway so I will prob have my local shop take a look at it for me but I wanted to throw this out there so I can brace myself for what might be coming
