Hi Guys,

I'm about to do the 50Hr service on my B3030. I looked through the manual and do not see a hydraulic screen. Just wanted to check in to see if there is anything I have missed....

I have the following, and plan to do the service this weekend:

SUDT
10W-30
Oil Filter
and 2 Hydraulic filters...

Looks like this will cover everything called out in the manual.

Thanks for any input.

Jim

Jim, The hyd screen on my B7610 is behind a 26mm banjo bolt right next to the filter. Can't miss it the return line flows into it. Couldn't find a 26mm socket anywhere finally found it at Lowe's, there is no Sears around.

You should also crawl under the tractor to make sure you can find the drain plugs before you are ready to pull them out.

I looked through the B3030 parts book. I don't see any screens in the hydraulic lines... only the two filters.

Would appreciate hearing how the service goes. I have 25 hrs on my B3030 and plan to do the 50 hour service myself.

BandDcabinet, there's no screen on a B3030. I know what you're talking about I had one on my former BX23. There are 3 filters on a B3030: one for the engine oil and 2 for the hydraulic fluid. One is located just aside the mid-PTO and the other one is located behind the left rear wheel. No screen on a B3030 it's a filter. I was looking for a screen too when I did my 50 hours oil change. I was refering to my experience with my former BX23. It's a bit more expensive though.

I'm glad to see that some other models have this setup also; when I did the 50-hour service on my B7400, the dealer parts guy argued with me for several minutes that I did not have or need all three filters! I was finally able to prevail by convincing him to actually look in the parts "book", but by then he was grumpy and wouldn't sell me the O-rings for the screen - said that I didn't need to check the screen, that no one ever does, etc. Don't know why I ever go back to that dealer, except that they're only 13 miles from home and the dealer I bought it from is 30 miles away in a direction I never go any more. Guess it's TractorSmart for me from now on.

Thanks Guys. I'll be sure to relate my experiences. I think the trickiest part will be collecting all that hydraulic fluid!
