Mowing B3030 60" Mower Blade Nut Size?

Sorry for the stupid question but I took the blades off of my B3030 60" MMM this weekend after 4 cutting seasons, they really looked good but do need some touch up. I got the outer blades off with the mower on the tractor using an adjustable wrench. The middle blade is much harder to get at so I left that for now, the blade feels ok. I am going to get a 1/2" drive socket to make it easier, can anyone please confirm the size? I left the nut out on the counter to bring with me to work but wouldn't you know it is still sitting there.

Also, do you guys grease them before putting them back on, they did come off very hard, I had to use my leg on the 12" adjustable to get them moving.

Sorry, don't know the size, my BX is a 30mm, I do not use anything on the bolts and never have. I use anti seize compound on plus, but never on thing like blade bolts.

Hopefully someone can answer your question.

30MM sounds right-1 3/16" is close enough to work well.

In the FWIW dept, 1-3/16" is 1.875" and 30 mm is 1.1811" so if you have to buy one, buy the 1-3/16" it will work for both where as the 30 mm won't.

Hope you guys don't mind my jumping in late - I just joined the forum, and I too am looking for a impact socket for my 60" deck blades. I used a 1-3/16" non-impact, and it worked okay.
1-3/16" is actually 1.1875, though, and as noted 30mm is 1.181. Otherwise, your logic is pretty sound - the 1-3/16 will fit both and the 30mm might not.
I'd be concerned about the slop, but we sharpen the blades a few times per season, and always use never-seize, so it's probably no big deal if the socket is a little oversized.

When I took blade bolt out of my MMM, I went to the auto parts store with it to make sure I got the correct impact socket.. A 6 point 1 3/16 was perfect.
