New to Tractors so not sure if my hoe dropping down some while driving is normal. I mostly do trail work and some sections and road are a little bumpy. I ususaully travel in M and after about 10-15mins the hoe drops down some. I guess if i did not pull up on the left control it would drag the ground after 20-30mins? I usually reach back though and pull up on lever to bring back up. It has about 40hrs and had it back to the dealer for the problem. Dealer said nothing wrong or he could not duplicate??? Does it every time for me. I would think its the control valve or pistion. Looks like going to have to trouble shoot myself and wondering if i could switch hoses on control valve to see if pistion or control valve problem. Or is this sort of normal?

I have a B3030 with the BH75 BH as well.

It's normal to see a reasonable amount of drop, mine falls after running through my trails as well. If it falls to the ground within 30 minutes - which I doubt it would - that's excessive and I would insist on your dealer having another look.

I've started using the locking pin that holds the arm in the upright position when I'm moving any distance. It relieves the pressure on the cylinder when going over bumpy terrain, plus you don't have to keep reaching over backwords to tighten up the slack. It also feels "tighter" when travelling because it's locked.

My bet is what you're experiencing is normal "sag". And I'd suggest getting in the habit of using the locking pin (I rarely use the pin that locks the left and right arm motion, I don't find it necessary for day-to-day use)

Bob, I have the 2630 with the BH75 and mine also drops. Before I started using the pin it would take about a day or 2 to drop all the way.

I have an L3400 with the BH75 and it does the same thing. As already mentioned, the locking pin fixes the problem.

Just make sure you set everything down and relieve all cylinder pressures before leaving it overnight. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
