I'm trying to find information on how to remove and replace the fuel lift pump on a B3030HSD tractor.
I have a service manual but I don't see any specific information on how to remove and replace the lift pump. It looks like it's fairly simple to change out the pump but I'm not sure if there any tricks or special things that need to be done. From past experience, things that look simple can turn out to be a problem.

Does anyone have any information or experience removing and replacing the fuel lift pump? If so, I'd appreciate your assistance.

Thanks,

John

If its the electric pump your referring to its just a straightforward change out from old to new.

First remove the fuel filter bowl. Be prepared to collect about a cup of fuel. The fuel will stop flowing when the bowl is removed. Next undo the pump clamps and unbolt the pump. Put the bowl back on and start. The system is self priming.

10 minutes and $35.

I just noticed that the pump output hose clamp was never installed correctly. Been that way for 17 years.

Thanks for the information and photo.

I just changed the fuel filter so I'm familiar with that part of the procedure and it looks like the rest of the process is fairly simple.

Thanks for your help.
