B3030 RPM Range?

Can someone else with a B3030 tell me what the rpm range is for idle and full throttle? Mine idles at about 950 which seems a tad bit high, and top speed is 2700 rpm, which seems a bit low. I realize that this effectively covers the normal operating range, but I'm particular about everything being just right on a new machine. There's only one good way to find out what normal is - thanks for your response.

Mine idles between 950-1000 which I hear is high so the inexpienced diesel operator wont idle to low. Ive read on here if you idle a diesel to low it runs cold so Kubota sets the idle high. Max RPM is just a little over PTO.It has been so long since i have used my tractor due to winter i dont remember the top RPM.

mine idles at 1000 more or less. As its a new machine, I've never run it above pto speed, so no idea what the top is. (I'm trying to do the breakin nicely)

My B3030 idles @ around 1000 rpm, most of my work is done at 1800 to 2000 rpm with the obvious exception of pto implements. I believe the max rpm is 3000, check your manual to be sure.

Mine idles just a hair above 1000 rpm according to the tach. WOT is 2600. I don't let it idle too much so the speed seems fine to me. When starting, it starts better if the throttle is at low idle compared to part throttle. My normal operating range is between 1600 and 2200, unless I am mowing. Then I run it a tad slower than WOT, about 2500, or just into the orange mark on the tach that indicates PTO speed. It runs a bit smoother at 2500 and does not have the intake noise that it makes at WOT. If I am driving it down the road then it is WOT. I like the fact that it works so well at any RPM. Even doing light loader work, 1100 or 1200 rpms is just fine. It seems to have as much lift capacity just off idle as it does at higher rpm, only a slower rate of lift. The 3 speed trans is a real nice feature, too. Running around the yard at part throttle in High gear moving mulch or brush or shrub trimmings is no problem. Keeps the noise down and makes the yard work more relaxing.

Sounds like mine is very normal then. Except for mowing (generally at 75-80% of PTO-rated speed) I try to operate the engine in the 1400-1800 rpm range (torque peaks at 1800). Thank you for the responses. This is my fourth Kubota - they keep getting better...

Mine idles at about 950. Top end a little over 2800 ( the tach isnt all that accurate) but I only run mine wide open when traveling on the road in HI range to get every MPH out of it I can. "Working" RPM is right at 2000-2100 for me
