Have over 200 hours on my new B3030. I left it idling for a minute while moving something. When I jumped back on the engine shut off rather abrubtly. I thought since I was on a hill with low fuel that when I jumped on it the remaining fuel shifted and choked off the engine but it didn't sputter etc.

My next guess was the seat shutoff. I tried jumping this but nothing. The engine does not turnover and there is no t even a click sound. The battery is charged and everything else is as it should be.

I'm sure it's something stupid but if anyone has any thoughts please share them.

I am going to try and put the little pink fues in that came as a spare.

Sounds like a electrical problem. Might check the battery cables. I had a cable on my truck just 2 weeks ago that needed cleaned and tightened. It looked good but a bad connection. It wont cost you anything to try that.

No luck with the 30amp fuse. Bsttery cables are in place. The symbols and the glow plugs light up when you turn the key but no click at all. It's like I have a lever in the wrong place but I can't figure it out. I feel like it's probably related to the seat sensors but I can't figure out how to isolate both of them.

Check all of your safety switches, especially the seat. Sounds like you have one that worked loose or was moved out of adjustment.

You have a saftey switch that is not mating, try moving the HST pedal slightly in both directions, sometimes it can be out of position just a hair keeping it from mating.

Found a couple of frayed wires under the seat. I cut them back and re-wired them. Still nothing.

I tried all of the little things like the HST but I can't get it to click.

Keep in mind that it shutoff while running when I climbed back on. This indicated it had something to do with the seat or with a wire coming off somewhere. I have scoured the machine and can't find any other wiring problems.

Where are the other safety devices?

Thanks for the responses below. I only have a few hours on the weekends to get stuff done and to be down like this is very frustrating.

On my BX-1850 the PTO switch does not work. It always sends a signal that the PTO is on, so when I try to start the machine I have to reset the PTO setting five or six times before it starts.

The engine also will shut down 5 or 10 seconds after I get off the seat even though the PTO is not engaged. The wiring may be in series so one problem triggers another.

The dealer will fix it under warranty, along with the long list of other things wrong with the BX-1850...
