B3030 side glass windows in a B3000 ?

The B3030 and B3000 are nearly identical tractors.

The B3030 had side glass windows that opened (although not a lot), but the B3000 has stationary side glass.

Has anyone with a B3000 ever tried changing out the windows on the B3000 to allow them to open like the 3030?

Pricing out the side glass and associated parts for the B3030 glass, seems would run around 1K.

I'd do it... IF... the brackets are in place to allow the installation of the opening side glass.

Anyone tried it.... or done it?

I have been searching for pics of the inside of a B3030 and hoping that any pics shpw the rear glass and how those hinges are secured.

So Far... no joy.....

I only open the right side rear glass section.
If you were going to take a chance,you could try buying one side at a time?

Could the local dealer provide a couple names of B3030 cab owners that would be open to giving you a peek?

On your AC project,do you have the cab supplement manual?
There is some useful information in there,like how the sight glass should appear.
My WSM describes the system well,and I would think our systems would be similar,if not the same.

There aren't any B3030 around at this time. But I'll keep my eyes open for one to come into the local dealer. (Good Idea!)

I can also ask if they will give me any names of a couple owners they sold the B3030 to.

Cab supplement? I do have a WSM, and it covers some aspects of the Cab (removal etc). Is there a separate manual that concentrates on the Cab? (ie: wiring)

I try to get my hands on all manuals possible, so if I'm missing one that's available, I'll have to get my hands on it.

As far as my A/C project, I had removed the cowling and made good and sure everything under the hood is clean. I also had some occasional squealing from the belts, so I tightened them up.

Loose belts can affect the A/C as well, so maybe tightening them up will help (at least a little).

My Manifold gauges won't be delivered until next week, so I'll wait for them to arrive before I worry about the refrigerant.

I still need to pull the roof off to take a look how clean/dirty the unit is.

As far as the glass, I'd like to do more research before I spend any money. Even doing one side glass won't be cheap.

I still think it may work..... but.....

Includes all the cab stuff that doesn't pertain to open station models.
Wiring,door locks,wiper/washes,fuses,AC,cab filter,etc.
Dealer gave us with our purchase.
Would think there is one for the B3000 as well.

Dang, I bought my B3000 used and, thankfully, the owner did give me a lot of manuals, but I don't think there was a Cab Supplement.

Is it a type of WSM? Or just a general owners Cab manual? It sound more similar to a WSM..

I found the Part number for the Cab Supplement on Messick's for the 3030. (6C230-63110)

They don't show one for the 3000.

As you know, the B3030 and B3000 are essentially the same, so I wonder if the Cab supplement is the same one?

It will be some time, but if you don't have pictures of the window details by then, I'll take some pictures of the B3030 cab for you that my Dad has (several hour trip).

With Covid-19 and their age, I'm reluctant to visit given our local case count and not wanting to do them any harm.

Perhaps PM me a cell number where I can send the photos.

It's too bad they don't have a wholegoods item for replacement windows. I bought new pop-open side glass that had the defogger built in for under $300 on my L4740. Removed the plain glass windows and replaced with the defogger units.

It's really not that important.

If you happen to go for other reasons, that's great, but I certainly don't want you to make a drive for something that isn't critical.

Plus, no need to unnecessarily expose anyone to the potentials of COVID spread either.
