Do you guys out there with 4-1 buckets on your B3030s think they have sufficient lift capacity?

I've been looking into a 4n1 too for a loader with similar capacity as the 403. You probably need to stay away from the skid steer type buckets as they weigh in at 500lbs plus. ATI, WR Long and JD make lighter versions for CUTs that only weigh a bit more than 300lbs (i.e. only a 100lbs or so than the standard bucket). So far it looks like the JD has the best price by several hundred bucks and the JD guys seem to have good luck with them. Don't know what to do about that horrible green color though. It would be like wearing bright green socks.:) I think I have seen photos of the JD 4n1 in black but don't know if that was a factory paint job or not.

I know some one who has a sand blaster.

JD Long manufactures their equipment 25 miles from me. They do not sell to the public, but I'm sure it should help with freight. I might even be able to pay for it at a local dealer and "pick it up at the factory, it's cheaper that way*".

Maybe you could negotiate with a local dealer. The WRLong stuff tends to be sold for list price here in New England because there really are no dealers who stock the brand, they just serve as middlemen. If they don't have stocking or transport costs they sure ought to be willing to deal a bit to make an easy sale.
