Tires B3030 tire size?

Hello all,
Just bought a used B3030 with R4s. The Rears are 15-19.5, fronts are 25x8.5-14. Owners manual says 12.4-16 rear and 23x8.50-14 front. Anyone know what's up?

Sounds like someone has changed tires as what you sho is what is in manual as well.

You might want to see if you can find out from the guy that sold it to you what the deal was, because it can screw up the internal front wheel drop box if the ratios are not the same as the factory tires.

My B3030 owners manual says 24x8.50-14 for the fronts, however the tractor has 23x8.50-14 on the wheels. I haven't noticed any issues while in 4WD. The rears have 12.4-16 both in the manual and on the tractor. I bought the tractor used but I believe all the tires are original from when it was new.

Is it possible the owner's manual is stating R1 sizes? I have noticed in a lot of literature that R1s are the "assumed" tire.

The manual lists sizes for 3 different tire types - R1, R4 and Turf - which they refer to respectively as Farm, Industrial and Turf.

Could be the manual is out of date.

I have been researching service (WSM -- Work Shop Manual) and parts manuals for my tractor. You WOULD NOT BELIEVE how unorganized Kubota is with their manuals. Some group of people over in Japan probably know how everything in the corporation works, but there is definately some communication issues (to us) with their documentation. Both the WSM and Parts manual are priceless. There is a lot of good info in them.

Anyway, if you go here: http://www.tractorsmart.com/main/Front%20axle%20lead.htm you can read up on how front and rear tire sizes are matched. Use that to verify your setup is OK. You can also use it to buy different sizes in the future (if you want). You could also go to your dealer and see what sizes were available for your tractor.

Thanks to all. It seems that when this tractor was traded in, the original owner wanted to keep the turf tires with which this unit was equipped. The dealer switched them out. The tires currently installed are apparently an optional "extra heavy duty industrial tire" offered on the B3200.
