Im wanting to add some additional lighting to my B3030. I see where there is SUPPOSE TO BE a loose pigtail in the rear for the optional Kubota work light...but I sure cant find it?? Is it there ONLY if the work light was bought as a factory option? ( I wouldnt think so??) Any help in locationg that pigtail is greatly appreciated.

In addition I see in the OP's manual there seems to be NO unused fuses..? ( I dont have a cab) Since I wish to add MORE than a single work light, where's the best location to "tap into"? The hot side of the starter??...and running MORE than "large enough" wire to a rear location to divide it. ( Id fuse it properly at the starter...dont need to "smoke" a long section of heavy wire should something go amiss)

Thanks in advance for any help

Sully

Sully…
I’d do as you have outlined for power distribution with the fuse or cktbkr., but I would also add relays activated from the key switch… this way you will be sure to kill all power use when you shut off the key. KennyV.

Oh yeah! Id be sure to do that. Im more into "overkill" when it comes to electrical wiring and such.. and I TRY at all times to stay away from the "factory" wiring stuff. That way if I screw something up..its all my oown stuff and not ( lord knows what..lol) factory wiring and such.

Now..If I can JUST FIND that wiring pigtail in the back of this thing??.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Sully,

Approximately where did you find it? I am looking to add additional work lights on my B2630 and the wires should be in the same place as yours. Thanks, Doug

Mine was tucked up TIGHT behind the right hand taillight...up under the right hand 4 way rear flasher. Both a GRN and the hot wire is there but I havent checked yet to see if its hot 100% of the time..or with the key on..or ?? But it may be hot as long as the key is on because I "think" the factory work light has an ON-OFF switch ON the light itself.

Oh, so that is what the wiring hanging down from my tail light is for. I guess they forgot to tuck mine away.

Where do you mount the single light at?

Sully2, I went one extra step with my lights by buying a canopy, to mount them to, and after last winters heavy snows, and the need to do some night work I am happy I did. By mounting to a canopy all you have to do is drill through fiberglass to mount your lights, your switches are all handy and out of the weather, the front work lights are 30 to 36 inches forward of the ROPS which gives you a lot more light for FEL work. Last but not least you don't get rained on. I'll post a few pics of my setup.
