As stated in another thread, I am ready to order a B3030 and a Woods BX80 primarily for projects and landscaping 2.5 acres. I know a few on here have this same combo and seem to love it. I will not be mowing with this unit and the money seems very close to a B21, especially a lightly used one. Should I be trying to compare the two and for landscaping and loader work, should I be considering a B21 instead. Anyone knows the loader specs of the B21 vs. the 403 that comes on the B3030.
The major difference between B21 and B3030 loaders is: B21 is self-leveling. It's a bit more powerful too (926lbs vs 880lbs). The major disadvantage with a B21 is the engine: 21HP. It gives you 13.5HP at the PTO . Compared to a B3030 with 30HP engine and 23HP PTO the B21 seems anemic. If you plan to use a lot of rear implements connected or not to the PTO you definitely should go for a B3030... IMHO .
Look carefully at the two side by side the B21 is far more heavy duty than the B3030. The B21 also has bushing in the loader which can be changed out as they wear. The B21 loader is non-removable while the B3030 loader is removable.
